The route started from the administrative building along Halytska Street and Naberezhna Street. The inspection went as far as the pedestrian bridge that had been rebuilt after the destruction. The work is still ongoing, but people are already actively using the crossing over the Bystrytsia.
Gratitude to the Locomotive Repair Plant
The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, expressed his gratitude to Lokomotivoremontnyi for restoring the bridge. He recalled that in July last year, part of the bridge was destroyed by water, and thanks to LRZ’s participation in the bridge’s restoration, it is now safe to cross it again. Mr. Martsinkiv emphasized that the final work on the bridge is almost complete, with only some small equipment, such as stairs, remaining. However, he emphasized that the bridge is already accessible to pedestrians.
Mr. Martsinkiv pointed out the shortcomings of public utilities.
Along the way, the mayor instructed to mow the grass on the dam, level the road in some places, and collect garbage. Mykhailo Yatskiv, director of Blahoustrii, said that there are areas that need cleaning and mowing, as well as roads that need improvement. He noted that after the mowing equipment, objects will still be mowed in the near future. In addition, attention was drawn to the park, which is also planned to be mowed this week.
After passing the city lake, the heads of the community’s utilities drove down Mazepa Street. Here, the mayor set out a few small tasks, such as repairing a fallen traffic sign and landscaping a park.
There are tasks for the city’s infrastructure department as well.
Mykhailo Smushak, Director of the Department of Infrastructure, Housing and Communal Policy, noted that the work is ongoing. He emphasized that although the utility sector is like a big machine that moves regardless of the conditions, community enterprises continue to recruit employees.
Smushak noted that utilities respond to all problems promptly. He gave an example of a damaged sign on the Mazepa ring and noted that such situations require a quick response. Regarding vacancies, Mykhailo Smushak emphasized that there are vacant positions in the city’s utilities and invited all those looking for work to apply. He also noted that the city continues to develop.
We remind you that every Tuesday, Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv, along with deputy mayors and utility company directors, rides around the city’s neighborhoods on bicycles to personally assess the state of affairs in Ivano-Frankivsk.
Earlier, the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, reported the absence of almost 300 employees in the city’s utilities. He pointed to mobilization as the main reason for the staff shortage.
There were also concerns about the treatment of horses, which often suffered from exploitation. The Society for the Protection of Animals tried to influence this situation. In 1912, they got the magistrate to pass a resolution requiring drivers to have a plate with a number on their fiacres to control their behavior.
However, over time, horses became a thing of the past.
